On April 12, 2006, Cardig International has entered into an agreement with Dharma Putra Kostrad Foundation and PT. Dharma Kencana Sakti to acquire a 100% stake in MANDALA Airlines.
It marked another milestone in the history of Cardig International with the commencement of its latest subsidiary in pax airlines that representing Cardig International’s 10th subsidiaries.
The signing ceremony was held in the main office of Mandala Airlines in Tomang district, west Jakarta. This event was attended by Board of commissioners and Directors from Cardig International and Mandala Airlines together with Kostrad Commander Lieutenant General TNI Mr. Hadi Waluyo acting as a Council Developer Chairman of Dharma Putra Kostrad Foundation.
President and CEO of Cardig International, Mr. Diono Nurjadin said in Jakarta that acquisition of Mandala Airlines represent the largest investment by Cardig International and one of the company’s strategy to expand into pax airlines business after the establishment of CARDIG AIR as one of its subsidiary in the cargo airlines business.
“This acquisition will strengthen Cardig International in providing one-stop services to the customers as one of the leading group in the aviation, logistics, catering and food distribution by tapping its experience for over 30 years in the aviation business to provide more benefits to the Indonesian air transport market,” he added.
“We are continuously seeking to upgrade our services to the customers in the air transportation industry and we are optimist toward the future of pax airlines business in Indonesia. Especially in 2005, the number of domestic passengers reach to 24 million people and it was predicted to increase into 30 million people in 2006,” he further explained.
For Cardig International, the market forecast offers an excellent basis for exploiting market opportunities. To do this, we have to concentrate on highest commitment and market penetration to globally implement service standards of excellence.
